Modoc - Heather Hadwick, a farmer, small business owner, and community leader announced her candidacy for the California Assembly District 1. Raised in the small town of Dorris in Siskiyou County, Heather Hadwick's roots in rural Northern California run deep. Together with her family, she operates a successful farm in Modoc County, specializing in hay, vegetables, and pumpkins, while also raising highland cattle. Their Pumpkin Patch has become an annual tradition for the community.
“As a small business owner and farmer, I understand the challenges facing California families. Politicians in Sacramento have passed tax hikes and increased regulations on small business owners, making it harder for us to do business. As a member of the State Assembly, I will fight to create more jobs, lower government regulations, and get our economy back on track. Most importantly, I will give a voice to the families of Northern California.”
Heather has a heart for service, always volunteering and serving the community in her spare time. Heather volunteers and actively participates in numerous organizations, including serving as President of a local school board, planting a church, and having served as the County 4-H Coordinator through UC Davis, fostering youth development and agricultural education.
Heather is married to her high school sweetheart, Bryon. They were married in 2003 and now have two boys, Sam and Zack.
